CBIC announces award recipients

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — The Charlottesville Business Innovation Council recently recognized its annual award recipients at its gala.

These awards go to local businesses, start-ups, leaders and others who have had an impact on the business community locally, across the region or even globally.

Below is a list of this year’s award recipients:

  • CBIC Business of the Year – WillowTree
  • CBIC Educator of the Year – Kevin Huff of Monticello High School
  • CBIC Employer of the Year – Elder Research
  • CBIC Entrepreneur of the Year – Jennell Lynch
  • CBIC Innovator of the Year – AMPEL BioSolutions
  • CBIC Partnership Award – Community Climate Collaborative
  • CBIC Social Good Award – Sigora Home
  • CBIC Startup of the Year – Laser Thermal
  • CBIC Student Entrepreneur of the Year – College Contact
  • CBIC Volunteer of the Year – Adrian Felts and Alex Struminger
  • CBIC Impact Award – Damon DeVito

The gala was held at North Fork, a UVA Discovery Park.
